That poll has been out longer than a day and you need to have an e-mail notice sent out to let folks who do not check in often know this poll is here.

gee thanks dennis. why in the world did I not think about doing that...

hey john....should maybe send out one of those blanket emails to let the 60 some odd people who voted on the location know that we are now voting on the month, and in a week will vote on the week....

Not really...the scroll is programmed to show the last "x" number of posts. There is a link on the middle of the page that links to the 2007 reunion discussion

Let's keep all discussion in the discussion thread instead of separate threads for this that and the other. Gets confusing as to where the latest talk is.

Okay, I have to agree with Rusty on being disappointed with the number of responses to the timeframe poll. We had 66 votes for Mare Island, but only 28 votes for a timeframe? Was somebody stuffing the ballot box for Mare Island? Hard to believe that 57.5% of the Mare Island voters would need a special email invitation to vote on a timeframe after they had already cared enough to vote for a place. :?

As of today the votes are tied for July and August. That must mean we all agree on the week of July 30th since it covers both. We won't have to vote on a week now! :D See what you can accomplish with data interpretation? I knew that Six Sigma/Lean training would come in handy at some point.

Seriously, I really would like to see this get off the ground. I suggest that the next poll put up options for the last two weeks in July, the crossover week, and the first two weeks in August, with the question being which week would you realistically expect to attend. I don't know if our poll processing would support this, but if we could enter a first and second choice we'd have a more robust data sample to look at.

If we can't get a concensus by the end of February, I suggest that a fallback plan would be to start working on Mare Island 2008, and start planning Texas Housework 2007 (going to Texas to help Rusty fix her new house).

tom, first, you farking rock dude (housework trip).

second...you can only vote for one option in the polls, so it is doubtful that people stuffed the ballot box for mare island...they may just only come in for SPECIFIC things and not be aware that there is a new poll up. who knows. I do know of a few rare instances of people who cannot attend voting for mare island on principle...so maybe more than the ones I know about did that very thing.

we will get it going. no worries.

I CAN NOT go the last week in July/1st week in August. Nor can I go the 1st week in Sept. Any other time will be fine with me. Any place that you all vote on will be good for me. I have family in Chicago, friends in Vallejo, and friends in P-cola and a chance to visit any of them will be just fine. So cast my vote as you all see fit. I don't know how many others have the same restraints as I do, but everyone who plans or wants to attend shoud roger up one way or another or this will never get off the ground. $.02

I'd only be a no show after the third week of August. School starting would slay that.

My wife and kids are totally pumped about staying across the street from Marine Land/Great America. Come on people...

Perry let's get a week poll going on the MAIN PAGE. Last 2 weeks of July, First 2 weeks of August and see where it goes!!!

We got to get on the stick, get our shit together and ALL IN ONE SOCK!

I will be going to Northern California regardless; Vallejo is just one location out of 4-5 that I wish to revisit. I havn't been back to the Bay Area since Digital relocated me to Massachusetts in 1986. As far as a reunion location goes, Vallejo is my primary choice. Being retired, the time this summer is whenever and open for me at this time and date.
